The boat is named "Normandie 2" (Normandie 2), and the purpose of the name appears to be that the boat is a successor to the giant French liner SS Normandie, which went out of service after it burned in 1942.
Officer Attia says of Hamido that he is an old acquaintance, and Hamido replies: "Yes, from our army days" (they are talking about Ismail Yassine Fel-Geish).
The calendar on the wall shows Thursday, June 6, 1957.
One of the film's naive scenes is the fight between officer Hassan and A Gang Member, where Hassan counts aloud the bullets fired from his opponent's pistol. This is illogical, because he is warning his opponent that his ammunition is running out, while the real purpose of following the count aloud is to alert the viewer to the trick.

Some sounds do not match the mouth movements.
When Tafida says to Her Daughter, "He Who Gets There First Wins," the shadow of Ibn Hamido as he replies appears to her left, but in the next wider shot the shadow is not visible.
After Ibn Hamido gets up from the broken bed, no net remains on his head, but in the next shot he is still removing the net from his head.
When Tafida calms the people present before launching the boat Normandie while holding a paper in her hand, Her Husband raises his hand with a stick and waves it, but in the next shot his hand is down and he is not moving the stick.
During Aziza's conversation with Al-Baz Effendi in the street, she is carrying a watermelon, but two shots later the watermelon's position has changed and writing has appeared on it.
