Early Life and Education
- In childhood, he moved with his family from his village in Dakahlia to the Shubra neighborhood of Cairo.
- He enrolled in the Faculty of Law for a short period, then left to join the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, where he received formal training in acting.
Career
- Kabil began on the stage, joining the Television Theatre troupe at the dawn of Egyptian TV broadcasting—a repertory company affiliated with the state broadcaster that brought stage plays to the small screen. His work soon expanded to cinema and television.
- He was known for his poised craft and strong screen presence, delivering a wide range of roles across social drama (stories rooted in everyday Egyptian life and its social issues), straight drama, and suspense/thrillers. He portrayed authority figures as well as layered, humane characters.
- His career spanned from the 1960s through the early 1990s, and he remained active until his passing.

- A widely circulated rumor claimed he was “buried alive” after his death. This story is false. He died of a heart attack, and his family—as well as official death records—have refuted the rumor.
