In the scene where The Father of a Young Detainee is arrested, we notice a poster for Laila, starring Laila Mourad, at "Cinema Cosmo.".
Tommy, played by the English actor Jerry Sendquest, says: "Don't worry, I am not the dying type." Unfortunately, the actor himself did actually commit suicide years later, in his thirties, and he also dies in the film.
Soriel intentionally uses a Bible verse from the words of Jesus Christ, saying: "Jerusalem, killer of the innocent and the prophets," while the original verse is: "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her.".
Yehia's family lives above a cabaret.
At the beginning of the film it says: "The characters and events of the film are not a carbon copy of their historical reality, but a personal vision.".
At the end of the film it says: "A salute to the struggle of the Egyptian artist for democracy - to the movement of the masses of artists.".
Some people watch a scene from Bab Al-7Adid beside the fountain, and the character "Qenawi" from the film is mentioned.
The award won by Eskenderya.. Leh? was the Berlin Festival's "Silver Bear" in 1979 (Special Jury Prize: Silver Bear - Special Jury Prize).
In the credits: "And, for the first time, Amr Abdel-Galil.".

Ahmad Zaky left the film for nearly four years before working on it because he did not accept the idea of being hit in a sensitive part of his body and asked for it to be changed more than once. However, director Inas Al-Deghedy explained that without this point the idea of the film itself would collapse.
