Trivia (3)
Notably, the film's four leads died in the same order in which they appeared in the defendants' cage in the trial scene. They also died at relatively young ages and in close years and ages (Shawky Shamekh in 2009 at age 60, Maaly Zaied in 2014 at age 61, Nour Al-Sharif in 2015 at age 69, and Mamdouh Abdel-Alim in 2016 at about age 60).
Naeema Al-Gharib holds a PhD in Computer Analysis and Programming from a French university.
Major Youssef and his colleagues visit My Queen restaurant on Gameat El Dowal El Arabiya Street in Mohandessin, Cairo, in more than one scene. It is known for serving customers in their cars, which usually stop directly in front of the shop, because the shop itself is so small it only has room for staff and equipment.
Goofs (6)
We see First Lieutenant Elham calling Her Boss at work, saying "Major, sir," although it is known that this form of address is used by superiors, not subordinates.
At the beginning of the film, Sayed Al-Gharib says that His Daughter traveled abroad to study for her doctorate two months before the war began, then we later learn that she obtained her doctorate in 1976; this means she spent far longer studying than usual, which is about 4-5 years.
When Major Youssef asks His Boss at Work to have Officer Elham join him, he says "Lieutenant Elham," even though her rank is first lieutenant, and it is known that an officer is not usually addressed by a rank lower than his or her own.
When Hassan goes to Buthayna seeking information about His Ex-Wife and His Son, we see three burly men rush to help her and chase Hassan, but in the next shot we see her calling them and their positions have changed.
The actress Fatma Koshary said that this, along with Sera3 Al-A7Fad, were her first two works in cinema.
