Trivia (24)
The novel by its author Ahmed Mourad was published in October 2012 (it was his third novel), and it ranked first in book sales at the 2013 Book Fair.
Yehia's thesis is on "psychoanalysis through body language".
Yehia is assigned to "Ward 8 West Prison".
The prison is divided into three sections: A) dangerous - B) regular - C) women.
While reading the first letter, Yehia is seen watching National Geographic, an episode of World's Deadliest titled Hippo vs. Hippo.
The number Sherif writes on the paper the first time: 40110020019.
  Sherif's hospital file number: 126/295 - murder.
  Sherif's prison number: 6752.
Sherif's national ID number: 2063115020077; his address: Tower 2, Fakher, Osman Towers, Maadi; and his date of birth: August 4, 1969.
The date of the forensic doctor Dr. Reham Abdel Hakim Abdel Gabar's report: February 12, 2013.
The name of Sherif's murdered wife: "Basma".
Sherif was from the class of 1994, and Yehia from the class of 1999.
Goofs (7)
In one shot we see Dr. Yehia in his office writing with his left hand, but in another office shot, while he is reading the report and we hear the voiceover, we see him writing with his right hand.
Some words and phrases are unclear, with low-volume words that cannot be understood (such as the scene where Yehia reads Sherif's report with loud background music).
When Yehia spills the cup of coffee on the desk, we can see that he is the one pouring it with his hand; the cup did not accidentally fall while he was holding a paper or something similar.
The number Sherif writes on the paper the first time is 40110020019, but in front of the committee we see him write the number incorrectly, and Yehia treats it as if it were the same number; this time he writes it as 401010020019.
When Sherif tells Yehia that everyone watches himself (while he is on the hospital bed), we suddenly see his hand raised, whereas in the previous shot he was only about to raise it.
Uncle Sayed says that the shirt has nine digits on it, whereas the digits on the shirt are ten, not nine (40110020019).
The numbers written on the shirt are not the same numbers that Sherif says: the first numbers are "40110020019", while the ones on the shirt are "401100200101".
