  She has an online blog titled "عايزه أتكلم" (I Want to Talk).
  Lotfy trained at several independent newspapers as a journalist and program producer, and participated in the cultural field in general for several years.
  She began her screenwriting career in 2011 in Professor Mohamed Rafea's workshop, one of Raafat Al-Mihi's students, writing feature-length and short films.
  She collaborated with director Dr. Ahmed Ramadan; a short story of hers, "لعنة الحب" (The Curse of Love), was adapted and produced as a short film titled Stone Heart.
  Lotfy led a writing team for the children's radio series Radio Serial: Ard El-Fondam, which was broadcast on FM radio in Ramadan 2015, and she also did voice acting in it.
  She prepared and led several workshops under the name "يوجا كتابة" (Writing Yoga) as a free-writing trainer; they blended writing with spiritual and psychological meditation inspired by the idea of yoga.
  She participated with the Ana El-Hekaya team with Dr. Sahar El Mougy, the Bosy team with director Sondos Shabayek, and the Basma for Feminist Storytelling team, and at the "دي كاف" festival in 2015 with French director Fanny de Chaille and French director Pascal Rambert, in addition to various theater workshops for Theatre of the Oppressed and drama therapy.
  The film Bashtery Ragel is her first feature film, through a workshop at Birthmark Films for Artistic Production under the leadership of screenwriter Wael Hamdy.
