The film addresses the phenomenon of seeking asylum in the United States to escape various forms of persecution, as well as some people's falsely claiming persecution in the hope of fulfilling the dream of immigration.
In the final scene, we see the difference in the level of care given to each of the two children because one of them is treated as an American citizen, even though both are newborns, pointing to the major gap in care between the citizens of the two countries.
