He came with his family from Upper Egypt to live in the village of "Sandabees" in Qanater al-Khayriyah.
Discovered by Galal Moawad at the Adwa' al-Madina concerts.
He excelled in improvisation and composing folk songs.
He once tried singing in ordinary clothes rather than a galabeya, but it did not succeed, so he returned to his old outfit.
