He came to cinema through his athletic excellence, as he was a famous weightlifting champion.
He won championships at the European Weightlifting Championships in "Luxembourg" in weightlifting in 1931. Egypt was permitted to participate in the European weightlifting championships only in 1930 and 1931. In them, Egypt won four gold medals and two bronze medals.
He established a club bearing his name.
He participated in the 1936 Olympics under the name "Hussein Mukhtar" Hussein MOUKHTAR.
He also participated in summer 1928 in Amsterdam.
