Early Life and Beginnings

• He began his career in television in 1986 with director Ahmed Khadr and rose to prominence with the 1989 series «Abyad W Eswed» alongside Salah Zulfikar.

Career

• He made his film debut starring opposite Ahmed Zaki in «The Emperor» (1990), then worked with major directors including Youssef Chahine («The Emigrant» 1994, «Destiny» 1997) and Oussama Fawzi («Asphalt Devils» 1996, which premiered at Locarno).
• In 1996 he founded the Albatrik production company and the El-Momthel acting studio for emerging talent, and launched «Al Fann Al Sabeaa», a magazine specialised in the cinema industry.
