After his parents Ahmad Zaky and Hala Fouad separated, he lived with his mother until she died, then moved to live with his father.
His death shocked the artistic community and the public because of his young age and because he had not suffered from any health problems before his sudden death, noting that his mother, the actress Hala Fouad, had passed away at almost the same age (35 years old) in 1993.
